WorldWide Vegas, Winner Online, Shankwart, and Nifty

I was cruising through the message boards at Winner Online tonight and found an interesting thread where someone named AdamThePrince was complaining that the management of WorldWide Vegas Casino was running the place into the ground. I’m not familiar with WorldWide Vegas Casino, but I’ve done some looking around on the internet and can’t find much information about them other than they’re a no-download, flash casino powered by Parlay Entertainment software.

But the thread was interesting, because it began with AdamThePrince complaining that the manager there voided his winnings and bonuses for no other reason than the fact that he was winning. It seemed like a pretty cut and dried, just the facts, Joe Friday kinda post, or at least as close as a casino complaint could be, until Max, the admin over at WOL (Winner Online) came along and pointed out that AdamThePrince has the same IP address as Shankwart.

Shankwart is a well-known and frequent poster at both Casinomeister’s forum and Winner Online, and it turns out that his name has become so well-known both on the forums and with the casinos that he’s decided he needed a new “identity” to avoid causing further problems for himself with future casinos he wants to play at. Max advised him to pick one identity or the other, and that he couldn’t keep both identities.

Then a poster from CasinoBonusPages joined the discussion, offering to try to negotiate on Shankwart’s behalf with WorldWide Vegas. This was a noble gesture and good PR, I think, since there’s no indication that Shankwart signed up through CasinoBonusPages.

Then what I thought was really interesting came up. A poster named Nifty pointed out that Shankwart has been complaining about multiple casinos now for years, and his implication/supposition was that Shankwart must be doing something wrong to get on the bad sides of all these casinos. (The implication was that Shankwart’s a bonus whore or something like that, although it isn’t explicitly stated anywhere in the thread that I can see.)

Nifty then went so far as to post an actual list of the casinos that Shankwart has complained about. The list included some of the following casinos:

  • Cirrus Casino (I seem to remember this dispute being a fairly heated one on a couple of forums.)
  • Captain Cooks Casino
  • Be The Dealer
  • The Phoenician

And there were maybe half a dozen more.

Anyway, as of the time I write this article , the situation between Shankwart and WorldWide Vegas has not been resolved, and another poster came in and complained that he was owed money by WorldWide Vegas casino too, and couldn’t resolve his situation with them.

But here’s the really meaty and interesting thing that this entire summary of that thread has been leading up to: Nifty posted that any time he had ANY confusion about the terms of a casino bonus offer, he contacted the live support at the casino BEFORE a problem started.

I’m not commenting on whether or not Shankwart’s complaint with WorldWide Vegas is legitimate or not, because I don’t know. And I have nothing to say about the casino itself, because I’m not familiar with it at all.

But I WILL say that Nifty’s advice about clarifying and communicating with the casino beforehand is crucial and necessary and should be written in big bold letters on every casino portal on the internet. ALWAYS get clarification, in writing, from customer support ANY time you have questions about the policies at an online casino.

You’ll save yourself some trouble.
